U-Blog 2

This past week we were we given our groups for our group workshop. In one of our assignments we were asked to create a list of topics that we would like to do our workshop on. We thought one idea would be to do a workshop on the different types of search engines such as yahoo and google, and what each has to offer. We also thought about doing one on different web browsers such as Firefox and IE. In preparation for our own workshop and the report we have to write, we were also asked to select another workshop to observe. Its been a very busy week, but I feel like I have a great group to work with on this workshop.

  1. I would think that people who can barely use the internet in the first place wouldn't care enough to use or know the difference between Firefox and IE. They just want the internet. My grandparents have a hard enough time knowing what a homepage is... Firefox might be good if there are some add-on to improve their internet experience other then that I wouldn't bother telling them the difference between the two. Now its another thing to install in on their computer in the first place but there are some websites still that require IE only and that might confuse them when they can't use or enter the website.

The same concept with yahoo and google. They won't care as long as they can go a search.
